After his career as a StarCraft player, Grospellier found his calling in professional poker. In 2006 and 2007, he successfully qualified for numerous events in the World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was in 2007 when he emerged as the runner-up in the European Poker Tour (EPT) held in Kopenhagen. A year later, he claimed the top spot in the EPT PokerStars Caribbean Poker Adventure, walking away with a staggering $2,000,000 in winnings. In 2009, Grospellier made another appearance at the EPT PokerStars Caribbean Poker Adventure's main event, but unfortunately, he was eliminated on the very first day. However, he persevered and secured a victory in the $25,000 buy-in "High Roller" side event of EPT5, pocketing a handsome $433,500. Grospellier's triumph extended to the World Poker Tour (WPT) tournament Festa al Lago in 2008, where he took home a prize money of just over $1,400,000. This marked his first WPT cash win. He became only the third individual to achieve both a WPT and EPT title. Grospellier's success in the seventh season of WPT led to him being honored with the prestigious title of WPT Player of the Year.
